Vacancy Announcement for Internship at ERO

 

Position Title: Graduate Intern – Electrical Engineering/Economic/Accounting

Institution: Energy Regulatory Office of the Republic of Kosovo

Department: Tariffs and Pricing Department / Energy Market Department

Location: Pristina

Duration of Internship: Six (6) months

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 15:30 p.m.

 

Program Summary:

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Advancing Women Leaders in Energy (AWLE) Women in Energy Internship Program, with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, aims to provide young women with professional experience in energy regulatory commissions. The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) seeks two (2) female students who have completed/will soon complete their undergraduate or graduate degree and are interested in the energy regulatory sector. The selected intern will work at the Energy Regulatory Office in Pristina and will be paid by NARUC.

 

Description of Duties:

Energy Market Department:

Provide assistance to the department regarding the following tasks:

-Compilation of detailed reports on imports and exports, providing comprehensive insights into market dynamics.

-Thorough analysis of annual balances;

-Analysis of the flow of energy within the system;

-Direct participation in the monitoring and oversight of licensees to ensure adherence to regulations.

-Other relevant tasks as assigned.

 

Tariffs and Pricing Department:

Provide assistance to the department regarding the following tasks:

-Technical support through analysis, verification, and review of power system data.

-Monitoring of pricing and cost systems applied by energy companies, based on tariff methodologies.

-Analysis and evaluation of data to assist in determining Maximum Allowed Revenues and Tariffs.

-Other relevant tasks as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate from a program in Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

English proficiency at a B1 level.

Evidence of Previous Internship Work (optional): Documentation or references confirming prior internship experiences.

Evidence from University: Official documentation confirming enrollment in the final year of studies.

English Proficiency: During the interview, the applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English at a B1 level.
