The Energy Regulatory Office, in the sequel of the meetings held this week, held separate meetings with the representatives of the Energy Community Secretariat (ECS) based in Vienna, as well as the representatives of the Transmission System and Market Operator (KOSTT). and representatives of the Universal Service Supplier (KESCO).

ERO is an independent institution and does not become part of the daily political discourse. The latest decision on energy tariffs is compliance with the legal obligation to set tariffs that are cost-reflective. The suspended decision was presented in Budapest as an example and good practice of tariff regulation. In recent days, there has been misinformation of the public regarding the Decision of the Basic Court to postpone the execution of the decision on retail electricity tariffs.

ERO, on 18 May 2022, received from the Court of Appeals the Decision through which the Court rejected the appeal of ERO and verified the Decision of the Basic Court to postpone the execution of the decision on retail electricity tariffs, approved by ERO, until the Court decides with a final court decision, regarding the plaintiff's lawsuit.
