PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice to customers regarding the termination of the guaranteed supply period by the Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR)
The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), acting in accordance with its legal mandate under Law No. 05/L-085 on Electricity and the Rule on the Supplier of Last Resort, hereby informs all customers currently supplied with electricity by the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) as the Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR), that the maximum period of this guaranteed supply terminates on 30.07.2025, for customers who have used this service from 1 June 2025.
The supply by SoLR is a temporary measure aimed at ensuring the continuity of electricity supply to customers who, for whatever reason, have been left without a commercial supplier. This guaranteed supply cannot last more than sixty (60) days and cannot be continued after the above-mentioned date.
ERO calls on all affected customers to contact a licensed supplier and sign a commercial agreement for electricity supply without delay. Failure to act within the stipulated deadline will result in the automatic interruption of electricity supply after 30.07.2025, respectively according to the sixty (60) day deadline, as the guaranteed supply through SoLR will no longer be legally valid.
The liberalization of the electricity market is a process that is being implemented in full compliance with the law and best regulatory practices. We are pleased to inform you that the Courts, in the cases reviewed in connection with this process, have also evaluated ERO's decisions as legal and well-grounded, confirming that our actions are in accordance with the legal framework in force.
For convenience, the list of suppliers licensed by ERO is published on the official website of ERO: www.ero-ks.org
ERO remains committed to ensuring a functional and competitive electricity market, guaranteeing transparency, customer protection and legal certainty at every step of the process.
