Meeting with licensed electricity suppliers - The liberalized market is ready to launch on 1 June 2025

Today, at the invitation of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), a joint meeting was held with all licensed electricity suppliers in the Republic of Kosovo. Licensed suppliers from Albania and North Macedonia also participated in the meeting, reflecting the mutual recognition of licenses between countries in the region.

The Minister of Economy, Ms. Artane Rizvanolli, who also participated in this meeting, emphasized the importance of joint preparations for a successful transition to the liberalized electricity market.

The meeting took place in a constructive and cooperative atmosphere, where licensed suppliers expressed their willingness to provide their offers to customers who express interest in supply in the open market. They also expressed their commitment to continue cooperation with ERO and to provide necessary information to customers seeking clarification regarding the transition to the liberalized market.

At the end of the meeting, it was concluded that all necessary criteria have been fulfilled for the commencement of the operation of the liberalized electricity market, which will officially launch on 1 June 2025.

ERO will continue to support the liberalization process by guaranteeing an open, competitive market that serves customers.
