ERO obtains Scheme Observership by AIB Board

The Board of AIB (Association of Issuing Bodies) has approved the granting of Scheme Observership to the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) of the Republic of Kosovo. AIB is a non-profit organization with 35 members from 27 European countries which was created to develop and promote a standardized system of certificates (guarantees) of origin.

This step marks an important achievement for ERO, the regulatory authority for electricity, gas and renewable energy markets, which at the same time serves as the entity for issuing certificates of origin and operates the Grexel registry. The next step for ERO involves meeting the relevant criteria for full AIB membership.

ERO remains committed to full involvement and close cooperation with all organizations and activities that enable the development of its capacities and the integration of the energy market in the regional and European systems for a stable energy supply that meets international standards.
