PRESS RELEASE

The Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), Mr. Ymer Fejzullahu, participated in the regular meeting of the Chairmen and Board members of the Energy Regulators Regional Association– ERRA). This meeting brought together representatives of energy regulators from ERRA regular and associate member countries, serving as an important platform for the exchange of experiences and discussion of key issues in the field of energy.

The discussions focused mainly on regulatory developments in ERRA member and associated states related to energy market reforms and electricity prices in general, but with a particular focus on electricity prices for household customers. An important part of the meeting agenda was also dedicated to the independence of regulators, both in terms of decision-making and in terms of finance, as one of the most important and essential elements of the good functioning of the energy sector.

The meeting also discussed activities within ERRA's working committees, including those on customers, electricity, energy transition and gas. These committees provided a broad overview of the challenges and achievements in each sector, promoting a comprehensive approach to building a functional and sustainable market.

Finally, the importance of even closer cooperation between ERRA member and associated states was discussed, as a necessary prerequisite for the creation of a transparent, competitive and integrated energy market, with best European and global practices.
