Participation of the Chairman of ERO Board Mr. Ymer Fejzullahu at the ERRA Chairmen Meeting

The Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), Mr. Ymer Fejzullahu, participated in the Chairmen Meeting of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA), held on 28 October 2024, in Tirana. This meeting brought together key regulatory figures and energy sector experts to discuss pressing challenges and developments in energy infrastructure and policies.

The meeting addressed critical issues such as the lack of grid resulting from the increased expansion of renewable energy and the regulatory adaptations needed to manage this transition and in this regard some case studies were presented. The cyber security session highlighted vulnerabilities in energy infrastructure, emphasizing the need for increased protection against threats as well as the importance of relevant infrastructure in developing a functioning energy market.

The meeting concluded with an overview of ERRA's future activities, encouraging continued cooperation between energy regulators in the region.
