Meeting between the ERO Board and the Energy Team of the World Bank
At the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), a meeting was held yesterday with the Energy Team of the World Bank, as part of their mission in Kosovo to advance the implementation of the country's Energy Strategy. The mission, led by Mrs. Katharina Gassner, Senior Energy Economist met with the ERO Board.
During the meeting, a number of key issues for Kosovo's energy sector were discussed. Among the main topics was the review of the network codes by KOSTT and their submission to ERO, the process for their review as well as the relevant legal deadlines. Also, the support provided by the World Bank for renewable energy projects was highlighted, with a special focus on the ones developed through auctions.
The meeting also focused on recent developments in the energy sector, including the integration of Kosovo's energy sector with the regional and European markets, as well as the important role ERO plays in these processes.
ERO remains committed to strengthening the cooperation with the international organizations and all relevant stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of international representation and implementation of best practices from other countries. This commitment to cooperation aims to ensure a stable electricity supply to all customers and the establishment of a sustainable energy sector in Kosovo.
