XIth Session of ERO Board in 2024              

On 12.11.2024, the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office held the XIth session in 2024.

During this session, the Board approved the Maximum Allowed Revenues and tariffs for the District Heating "Termokos" JSC for the heating season 2024/2025.

In this session, the Board of ERO also approved the Maximum Strike Price for the wind auction of 75MW in the amount of €80.2/MWh which will be used to determine the acceptable offers in the next auction for the development of energy generating capacities from wind in Kosovo.

In addition to this, the Board of ERO also approved some amendments and additions to the Rule on the Principles for Determining the Tariffs for Use and Connection Charges for the Distribution System.

In order to analyze the opportunities and challenges for improving competition and the functioning of the electricity market in Kosovo, the Board of ERO approved the report 'Evaluation of Competition in the Electricity Sector in Kosovo 2022-2023” as well as reevaluated the amount of transmission capacities between Albania-Kosovo border for the market coupling process.

In this session, the ERO Board reviewed and approved the requests of the companies "ENERCO" LLC and "TREDINT" LLC for the issuance of licenses for the electricity supply activity. It also approved the requests of the companies "ELEKTROHETA" LLC and "SOLAR GATE" LLC for the issuance of authorizations for construction of generating capacities for generation of electricity from renewable energy sources while also extending the term of authorization for the company "ENERGY DEVELOPMENT GROUP (EDG)" LLC.

The Board of ERO also reviewed and approved 92 requests for obtaining authorizations for self-consumption, namely 73 requests from natural persons and 19 from legal entities with a total capacity of 1.9 MW.

Part of review from the Board were also some customers’ complaints and other internal issues related to the functioning of the Energy Regulatory Office.
